| There has always been a link between our world and theirs. Although not always visible, its presence has always been felt. Every epoch has a time when these two worlds align, and the barrier between the worlds weakens. Their presence is ubiquitous. They are our dark matter, their suns our black holes. They are our shadow universe. Their planet is Otherworld. |

| Rathe is a world troubled. It has a tumultuous past, an uncertain future, and a conflicted present. It is a world where the question of the gods' existence is answered, but the reason for sentient life is not. In a world of so many intelligent and varied races, where does one fit in? Rathe is a campaign where history surrounds the players, but the present times seem to pale in comparison to past glories, and for those who live here the question that remains is this: will the inhabitants of Rathe once more rise to former glory, or will they once again succumb to the grim fate of their predecessors? Rathe is a land where either path, rise or decline, is possible - the future is in the balance and those mighty individuals who step up have the chance to effect change upon the landscape. |

Hand of Sand Gaming is a Chicago gaming group dedicated to the intellectually creative and playful games. Current campaigns include Otherworld and Rathe.
Otherworld
There has always been a link between our world and theirs. Although not always visible, its presence has always been felt. Every epoch has a time when these two worlds align, and the barrier between the worlds weakens. Their presence is ubiquitous. They are our dark matter, their suns our black holes. They are our shadow universe. Their planet is Otherworld.
Rathe
A world on the razor's edge of chaos, meaning is given to those who choose to shape their own destiny - and that of the world as well. Rathe is the land Gods once strode, the center of the Apocalypse, and the eye of the world. |
